Hemp seed oil

Unopened

  • Store cool, dark and dry (pantry or cupboard away from heat/light).
  • Keep the cap sealed; check the best-before date on the label.

After opening

  • Keep sealed between uses and store cool and dark. A fridge helps extend freshness—especially in warm months.
  • Aim to use within a few weeks for best flavour; always trust your senses.

Good to know

  • Hemp seed oil is best as a finishing oil (dressings, dips, drizzling).
  • Light/heat/air can dull flavour—close the cap promptly.
  • If the oil smells or tastes off, don’t use it—open a fresh bottle.

Hulled hemp seeds

Unopened

  • Store cool, dark and dry (pantry). Avoid direct sunlight and steam.

After opening

  • Press out air and reseal thoroughly (zipper or airtight jar).
  • Keep cool and dark; fridge helps for longer storage or warm climates.

Quality cues

  • Fresh seeds smell clean and nutty; if aroma/taste seems stale, don’t use.
  • Always follow the best-before on the pack.

Capsules

  • Store cool, dry and dark. Keep the lid firmly closed.
  • Avoid bathrooms/steamy kitchens; choose a cupboard or desk drawer.
  • As with all food products, follow the best-before on the label.
